Lamar Berry is a native New Orleanian.  He and his wife, Ellen, are 30 year residents of Covington.  Lamar helped take Popeyes Chicken internationally during its first 15 years as Al Copeland’s Vice President of Advertising and Marketing.  He wrote the “Love That Chicken from Popeyes” jingle in the 1970’s.  He created International Marketing Systems (www.ims.us.com) in the late 1980’s.  IMS created and directed Texaco’s expansion of its c-store chain “Star Mart” to 50 countries; worked with Coca Cola USA; Wendy’s and numerous major casino resorts in Las Vegas.  Lamar’s work with Walt Disney World’s “Disney University” prompted him to author the book “The Power of Internal Marketing.”  Lamar speaks nationally and internationally at major franchising and restaurant conferences; he has hosted a syndicated television trilogy (A World That Works) and directed/produced over 1,000 commercials in his career.
